I am so glad that you are joining us this week for our Artisan Wednesday WOW blog hop. Just in case you are joining us for the first time, let me explain. Each week the ten members of the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team post projects that are created primarily from a box of goodies we receive monthly from Stampin' Up! Our blog hop makes a complete circle. At the end of every post there is a "next" button that will take you to the next blog until you end up back where you started. If you are hopping, then you should have arrived here from Cindy Schuster's blog.
If you know anything about me, then you definitely that I love flowers. So when I received the Mini Memories Simply Created Album Kit and saw this gorgeous designer series paper that was included with it, I was ecstatic. The only thing bad was that there are only two 5"x7" sheets of it. I knew if I was going to sacrifice any of it to make a card then I had better try to use a portion of it instead of covering an entire card front. I even contacted our Artisan DT liaison and asked her to let SU know how fabulous this dsp. I hope they listen to little ol' me on this one because I adore it!
I decided to make a card with a clear acetate front, add one of the laser cut cards from the Simply Fabulous Simply Sent kit (#126925) and just cover the center area. That way I can get at least two cards from on sheet of the floral dsp. The flower was created with the Blossom Party Originals die and Tangerine Tango cardstock. There are two layers of each of the three largest flowers. To add even more color I sponged on Tangerine Tango and Real Red ink. The leaves are die cut with the Secret Garden framelits (#129372) and Pistachio Pudding cardstock sponged with matching ink. The word sweet is from the Quite the Pair stamp set (#133176).
Of course, you know this girl has to have her a little gingham whenever she can, so I used the Gingham Stampin' Around wheel (#130110) and Real Red ink and finished everything off with some of my favorite Linen Thread. I hope you have enjoyed today's project. Now be sure to hop on over to see what Erica Cerwin and the rest of the design team have created.
