The theme for this week's challenge at Global Design Project is Trees/Leaves.
I made this fun woodgrain chevron card for my dad for Father's Day. I was waiting for the perfect opportunity to share it and I think this is it.
To make this background, I cut 1/2" strips of the woodgrain DSP from the In Good Taste DSP (#152494). I arranged them at 45-degree angles until I had created this amazing chevron design.
I really wanted this card to be masculine, so I keep the greeting simple by using this one from the Tasteful Touches stamp set (#152562). I die cut the greeting using the Stitched Nested Labels dies (#149638). Next, I stamped and die cut several sets of leaves using the Forever Fern Bundle (#154094).
The finished size of this card is 3"x6".
We would love to have you play along with us this week. Be sure to check out what the other talented designers/players have created for this fabulous challenge at the Global Design Project Challenge Blog.
