We have some great colors for our challenge this week at Global Design Project. This traditional Christmas color pallet was a great opportunity for me to finally try my hand at some Scandinavian-inspired folk art. I used a greeting from Merriest Moments (#156353) and the In Symmetry (#155140) stamp set along with a Stamparatus (#146276) stamp positioner to make this colorful one-layer card.
I must admit that it is a little outside of my comfort zone, but when I bought this set, this is exactly the style of card that I had in mind. I was a little short on time and I would like to experiment more, but for now, this is a great start.
The best part of this design, is that once you set up your Stamparatus plates, you can make several cards with ease. The hardest part is being careful to work with clean hands so that you don't smudge your cards. I made several extras, just in case I messed one or two along the way.
The card design can be a simple or complex as you like. I did end up freehand stamping some of the smaller elements just to save time. I love how this turned out and I loved this challenge. Now it's your turn to give this color challenge a try. Check out what the other talented designers/players have created at the Global Design Project Challenge Blog and then join in the fun.
I WOULD LOVE TO BE YOUR STAMPIN' UP! DEMONSTRATOR
If you are in the United States and need a demonstrator, then you can order your supplies in my online store here.
Have a blessed day!
