It's time for our sketch challenge this week at Global Design Project.
We have struggled with internet issues (i.e. we haven't had a connection) for the past few weeks and it has been frustrating to say the least. You don't really realize how much you depend on technology until you don't have it. It appears everything is back in working order (at least for now), so I am going to try to get this card posted before anything else go wrong. Fingers crossed.
This is a fairly easy sketch to work with, especially if you use designer series paper. I drew the inspiration for my color pallet from the Heartwarming Hugs DSP. I love the somewhat traditional colors of Real Red, Old Olive, and Evening Evergreen. I combined the papers with elements from the Merriest Moments Bundle (#156783).
The sentiment is from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set. I stamped the greeting with Evening Evergreen ink on Basic White cardstock and cut it with a tag from the Tailor Made Tags Dies (#155563). I doubled-up the tag layers to give it more stability. A simple bow made with Linen Thread adds some additional texture to the card without making it too bulky.
We would love to have you play along with us this week. Be sure to check out what the other talented designers/players have created for this fun challenge at the Global Design Project Challenge Blog.
I WOULD LOVE TO BE YOUR STAMPIN' UP! DEMONSTRATOR
If you are in the United States and need a demonstrator, then you can order your supplies in my online store here.
