This week at Global Design Project we are CASEing this very pretty card made by Janneke de Jong.
Although I utilized the layout from Jannekes's card, I wandered quite a bit with everything else.
It was love at first sight when it comes to the Fine Art Floral Suite. The Art Gallery Stamp Set (#154421) and Floral Gallery Dies (#154316) are gorgeous. I have been excited to give this suite a try for several weeks but didn't have the time. This week, however, we had two back-to-back winter storms and I was stuck at home for several days. So, I tidied up my craft room and then sat down to play. I began by making flowers using different color combinations: Misty Moonlight/Night of Navy, Rococo Rose/Merry Merlot, and Pool Party/Pretty Peacock. I also used Mossy Meadow ink for the stems/leaves. The woodgrain paper is from the In Good Taste DSP (#152494).
The layout called for two small strips of paper, so I used Rococo Rose paper from the 6" x 6" 2019-2021 DSP collection and a piece of Misty Moonlight paper from Flowers for Every Season 6" x 6" DSP. I placed the banners at slight angles to add a touch of whimsy and give this card a more relaxed feel. Just for fun, I attached the greeting with a couple of staples. Finally, I added some Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the layout.
I hope you like today's project. We would love to have you play along with us this week. Be sure to check out what the other talented designers/players have created for this challenge at the Global Design Project Challenge Blog.
