This week at Global Design Project we are CASEing this beautiful card made by Manuela Geiswinkler.
I did a very loose interpretation of Manuela's card layout. A few weeks ago I made this card for our Global Design Project color challenge. I decided to work ahead on my card challenges, so I made today's card at the same time using the same supplies.
If you recall, I stamped two large and three small sunflowers from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set (#152517) on some 2020-2022 In-Color DSP (#153079). Then I did some fussy cutting and put the layers together to create a flower that more closely resembles a Gerber daisy. I curled the petals on each layer and used Dimensionals to assemble the flower so that it really pops off the card.
That fun background design is the reverse (white) side of one of the patterns in the Forever Gold Laser-cut Specialty Paper (#152493). The sentiment is from the Forever Fern stamp set (#152559) and cut with a circle from the Stitched Shapes dies (#152323). Finally, I added some Flowers for Every Season Gems (#153645) to the sentiment to add some balance and interest to the layout.
We would love to have you play along with us this week. Be sure to check out what the other talented designers/players have created for this challenge at the Global Design Project Challenge Blog.
I WOULD LOVE TO BE YOUR STAMPIN' UP! DEMONSTRATOR
If you are in the United States and need a demonstrator, then you can order your supplies in my online store here.
