This week we are CASEing Janneke DeJong at Global Design Project. I love this card. I especially love the unique "glow" coming from behind the center panel, however, I opted to go a different direction with my card.
Instead, I decided to let the Best Dressed 6x6 DSP (#151319) be the focal point of my card. I typically don't design with this soft of a color pallet, but the colors in this DSP are beautiful so I just had to give it a try.
Basically, I focused on the card layout for inspiration.
There is quite a bit of fussy cutting going on here. The floral images are loosely illustrated so it wasn't too time-consuming.
I die cut a Whisper White panel using the Stitched Nested Labels die set (#149638). The sentiment is from the Peaceful Moments stamp set (#151595) stamped with Highland Heather ink. I had to resist the urge to use black ink on the sentiment. It would have probably been just fine to use black, but I believe the softer color of ink is better suited to this card.
Just like Janneke, I added a few simple rhinestones. Of course, I couldn't resist adding just a touch of twine with a small bow in the lower flower cluster.
We would love to have you play along with us this week. Be sure to check out what the other talented designers/players have created for this challenge at the Global Design Project Challenge Blog.
