I love the sketch challenge at Global Design Project this week. I think it is one of the easiest I have ever worked with.
I decided to let the Peaceful Poppies Suite do most of the heavy-lifting on this card. I stayed true to the suite's colors and used Poppy Parade, Calypso Coral, Old Olive, Mossy Meadow, and black cardstock for the die cut flowers/leaves.
I mounted the striped paper on a piece of Whisper White cardstock before cutting it down into 1" strips. This gives more stability when using dimensionals to mount them to the panel. I already had the die-cut flowers assembled, so this card was very quick to put together. You really don't even need the flowers because the sketch doesn't call for them, but you know me...I typically add flowers whenever I can!
We would love to have you play along with us this week. Be sure to check out what the other talented designers/players have created for this fun challenge at the Global Design Project Challenge Blog.
I WOULD LOVE TO BE YOUR STAMPIN' UP! DEMONSTRATOR
If you are in the United States and need a demonstrator, then you can order your supplies in my online store here.
