We have another bright color challenge this week at the Global Design Project. I knew right away that I was going to love this color combo!
The Good Morning Magnolia stamp set (#149298) is one of the most popular sets in the new 2019-2020 Annual Catalog...and for good reason. The images in this set are so beautiful and versatile. But don't let the fact that this flower is a magnolia limit you, because, with a little imagination, it can be so much more.
The Pineapple Punch flowers on a Night of Navy background is gorgeous, then add some Granny Apple Green and the result is stunning. I won't lie, this panel did take some time to color with Stampin' Blends, but IMHO it was totally worth the effort. I also added in some additional shading with dry watercolor pencils to make the effect even more dramatic.
The panel is mounted on a Granny Apple Green cardstock player that is embossed with the Layered Leaves 3D embossing folder (#152321).
I also tucked in some foliage cut with Nature's Roots (#146341) and Frosted Bouquet (#147895) dies. The sentiment is from Rooted in Nature (#148217) stamped in Granny Apple Green ink on Whisper White cardstock and die cut with the Stitched Shapes dies (#145372).
Be sure to check out what the other talented designers/players have created for this great color challenge at the Global Design Project Challenge Blog. We would love to have you play along with us this week.
