Thank you for joining us for our monthly Fancy Friday Blog Hop. The Fancy Friday team consists of some of the most talented Stampin' Up! demonstrators around...all past or current Artisans. If you are hopping with us, you should have just arrived from visiting the talented, Jennifer Frost. Isn't she amazing!
Our theme this month is "For the Family". With Mother's Day just a few weeks away, I decided to focus on that. I don't really have a lot of sentiments specifically for this occasion, so I used this more generic greeting instead.
For the flowers I used the stamp set I received at OnStage a few weeks ago in Vancouver called Floral Essence. It will be available when the new catalog goes live in June. I stamped the flowers several times on Shimmery White cardstock with Memento ink and then colored them with Stampin' Blends markers. Sadly there aren't any dies available for this set, so I fussy cut them by hand. The design is fairly simple, so it was easy to do.
I am so sad that the Gingham Gala DSP is going away soon, so I wanted to get in at least one more card using this amazing paper. I created what looks like a shaker card, but it is actually more like a shadow box. I was created in much the same way as a shaker, but there isn't an acetate window. It really gives a lot of depth and dimension.
This is always a bitter sweet time of year. On one hand we have the prospect of lots of beautiful new products on the horizon, but on the other hand we say farewell to some of our favorites. Now is the time to act if there is something you really want but have been holding off...get it before it goes away.
I can't wait to see what the other Fancy Friday team members have created. Be sure to hop on over to visit my Canadian bestie, Jennifer Picard. I know you will love her creations!
I WOULD LOVE TO BE YOUR DEMONSTRATOR!
