We have a great sketch challenge this week at Global Design Project. I also have a little sneek peek for the upcoming 2019-2020 Annual Catalog.
Some of you may know that I recently returned from attending OnStage in Canada. I have several friends in Vancouver, BC so it was an amazing weekend. Below is a picture of me and my Canadian bestie, Jennifer Picard. Vancouver is beautiful (when it isn't raining #embracetherain). It was such an exciting weekend. I was even made an honorary member of Jenilee Pauls' team...Artisans Anonymous (hense the matching shirts). Just like many other Stampin' Up! demonstrators, I recieved a copy of the upcoming annual catalog and even stamped some samples.
Rather than pay the postage to send all the make & take supplies back to the home office, Stampin' Up! generously allowed each table to divide the products. After a little bartering with Jenilee, I ended up with this beautiful set called Floral Essence. It is one of many amazing stamp sets coming in June (or May if you are a SU demo).
Instead of assembling my card, I decided to save the materials and create a different look with the supplies we were given. First, let's talk about the beautiful Perennial Essence DSP. One side incorporates gorgeous impressionist floral artwork, while the other side is more basic and subtle. This designer series paper is so amazing, you could frame and hang it. I can't wait for you to see it! Seriously...it is that pretty.
So, for my card I stamped each flower twice (Blackberry Bliss, Petal Pink, and Lovely Lipstick) and the leaves are stamped in Mossy Meadow. I stamped the greeting from the Rooted in Nature stamp set (#146482) with Lovely Lipstick ink. So here is a fun little trick I discovered...if you fussy cut the flowers and then rotate the layers you get an even bigger, more beautiful flower. Amazing, right!
We would love to have you play along with us this week. Be sure to check out what the other talented designers/players have created for this fun challenge at the Global Design Project Challenge Blog.
I WOULD LOVE TO BE YOUR STAMPIN' UP! DEMONSTRATOR
If you are in the United States and need a demonstrator, then you can order your supplies in my online store here.
