This week at the Global Design Project challenge blog we are CASEing one of my cards.
It doesn't matter how often it happens, it still feels very strange to be the focus of a CASE challenge. For my new card, I decided to focus on the basic layout with a prominent sentiment and add in some flowers.
My favorite thing about this card is the color combo. I used Smoky Slate, Gray Granite, Bermuda Bay, Poppy Parade and So Saffron on a Whisper White card base. The card front is embossed with the Subtle embossing folder (#143706).
The flowers and leaves are from the Falling Flowers stamp set (#139556). I know I have used it quite a bit lately, but I really love it and it is extremely versatile. I used the Stitched Labels Framelits Dies (#146828) for the frame and I die cut the top layer with the Foliage Frame Framelits. The sentiment is from the Stitched All Around stamp set (#146632).
I added some Clear Faceted Gems (#144142) to the flower centers for a subtle touch of glam.
We would love to have you play along with us this week. Be sure to check out what the other talented designers/players have created for this fun challenge at the Global Design Project Challenge Blog.
