This week at the Global Design Project challenge blog we are CASEing this beautiful card by Steffi Helmschrott.
I love everything about Steffi's card, so I didn't want to stray too far from her original design. I am not sure what the dimensions are on her card, but my card is a 6"x6" piece of Crumb Cake cardstock folded in half to form a 3"x6" card base. I embossed a 2 3/4"x5 3/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock using the SAB Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder from the Blossoming Basket Bundle. This is the late-release bundle that you can get for free with a $100 purchase (US$). I absolutely LOVE this bundle!
I stamped and fussy cut the basket from the coordinating Blossoming Basket Stamp Set included in the bundle. To make things easier, I cut off the handle and then added it back later on. I also stamped and colored the largest center three additional times and fussy cut those as well. Next I colored everything with Stampin' Blends Markers and then "reassembled" the basket. I cut some greenery with the Sweet Cake Framelits Dies (#145617) to replace the greenery that I removed from the original stamped image.
I decided not to use a sentiment. Instead I added the adorable little tag included with the stamp set. Finally, I colored some pearls with Stampin' Blends Markers and added them randomly around the image to complete the card.
We would love to have you play along with us this week. Be sure to check out what the other talented designers/players have created for this fun challenge at the Global Design Project Challenge Blog.
