Our theme challenge this week at Global Design Project is Sale-a-bration.

With Easter just around the corner, I thought it would be fun to make an Easter basket to showcase the amazing Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder from the bundle.
Here's the pattern I used to make the basket. I wanted to emboss the entire piece, so I kept the box pieces small enough to fit in the embossing folder. I suggest that you cut and score the box before you emboss it. I just folded in the sides and bottom and put the two pieces together to make a box. Then I adhered one of the 1/2" strips around the top edge of the box. I used the other 1/2" strip to form a handle.
For the tag, I stamped the top portion of the basket from the Blossoming Basket Stamp Set with a Tuxedo Black Memento Pad and die cut it with circle die from the Stitched Shapes Framelits. I layered it on a scalloped circle cut from Old Olive cardstock using the Layering Circle Framelits. I used Stampin' Blends markers to color the flowers (Daffodil Delight, Pink Pirouette, & Old Olive). The greetings are from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set. I also cut some foliage with the Sweet Cake Framelits Dies to tuck behind the tag.
You can make the handle as long as you want. This one is approximately 11" and glued to the inside all the way to the bottom of the basket. Next, I decorated the handle with some Old Olive 3/8 Mini Chevron Ribbon. (If you have some small brads, you can attach the handle more securely.)
Just one more note...to color the Sweet Soiree Ready Shreddie, I added several drops of Daffodil Delight ink refill to a spritzer and filled it with 91% isopropyl alcohol. (It probably doesn't need to be 91%, but that is what I had on hand.) Then I put the shreddie into an old box and spritzed/turned it until it was evenly colored. I used a hair dryer to speed the drying process.
