We have another great sketch challenge this week at Global Design Project.
One fun thing you can do with sketches is to rotate them. I decided to turn the card 90 degrees and this is what I came up with...
I created a square background by stamping the flower cluster from the Hello Color stamp set with Basic Black Archival Ink on Whisper White cardstock. Then I used Stampin' Write markers (So Saffron, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive) to color the flowers. I also used the markers to create splatters. Then when it was completely dry, I sponged Early Espresso ink around the edges of the panel.
For the sentiment I used Early Espresso Ink and Crushed Curry Ink and the Label Me Pretty stamp set. Then I used the coordinating Pretty Label Punch and a Circle Punch. Everything is mounted on a top-folding Early Espresso card base with just a hint of Crushed Curry cardstock to accent the stamped panel. Some Linen Thread adds the perfect finishing touch to this Autumn card.
We would love to have you play along with us this week. Be sure to check out what the other talented designers/players have created for this fun challenge at the Global Design Project Challenge Blog.
I WOULD LOVE TO BE YOUR STAMPIN' UP! DEMONSTRATOR
If you are in the United States and need a demonstrator, then you can order your supplies in my online store here.
