Our theme this week over on the Global Design Project blog is "Wedding/Anniversary".
Right away you will probably notice that I have "thank you" for a greeting instead of something for a wedding. At the time I made this card, I did not have a greeting in the size I needed, so I decided it would be a thank you card that a bride could send after the wedding...works for me! Besides, I used Blushing Bride cardstock, so it MUST qualify as a wedding card, right? LOL! If you want, you can easily switch out the colors to coordinate with the wedding.
We made this card at my team meeting on Saturday. Everyone loved the opportunity to try embossing paste on a card. I was a little surprised that none of my team members had tried embossing paste, but to be honest, neither had I. Now I am wondering what took me so long. I wanted to take it one step further, so we poured gold embossing powder over the paste before it dried and then heat embossed it. It was a ton of fun to see the difference it made when we added heat. One of my team members said it was almost as fun as learning to heat emboss for the first time...WOW...that is saying something!
We would love to have you play along with us this week. Be sure to check out what the other talented designers/players have created for this fun challenge at the Global Design Project Challenge Blog.
