Sketch challenges are probably one of the easiest and we have a great one this week at Global Design Project.
Here is my take on the sketch...
Certainly not a lot of stamping on this one...just a sentiment from All Things Thanks. I relied heavily on Coffee Break Designer Series Paper. One of the things you may notice about how my card differs from the original sketch is the small strip of Early Espresso cardstock on the left. Even thought the sketch itself is balanced, when I added dark flags to the upper right corner, it threw off the visual balance. So to fix that, I added the strip down the left side. That may sound minor, but it made a big difference with the finished project.
I love the new Corrugated Elements and I have been looking for the opportunity to use one on a card. I sponged some Early Espresso ink on one of the hearts and then punched two small holes to create a button.
We would love to have you play along with us this week. Be sure to check out what the other talented designers/players have created for this fun challenge at the Global Design Project Challenge Blog.
I WOULD LOVE TO BE YOUR STAMPIN' UP! DEMONSTRATOR
If you are in the United States and need a demonstrator, then you can order your supplies in my online store here.
