This week at the Global Design Project challenge blog we are CASEing this lovely card by Steffi Helmschrott.
When I see Steffi's card, I immediately see a mason jar, but instead of focusing on the jar, I decided to put the attention on some of the other aspects of her card. I kept the Crumb Cake card base, used a similar layout, included a bow, and used a flower for my focal image. If I hadn't told you I was CASEing Steffi's card, you probably wouldn't have even realized it...LOL!
I love the new stamp set, Graceful Garden. It is just my style, so I was ready to put some ink to it and see what I could come up with.
I haven't used my Copic markers in quite a while, so I wanted to get them out and practice. Now that I have gone back to work outside the home, I don't get the opportunity to just sit and color the way I would like...so it was a nice change of pace for me. There are a number of things I wish I would have done differently on this card if I had a chance to change them, but I was on a tight time schedule, so I decided to just go with it. Here are the markers I used on the flower.
We would love to have you play along with us this week. Be sure to check out what the other talented designers/players have created for this fun challenge at the Global Design Project Challenge Blog.
