We are CASEing this lovely card by my talented friend, Krista Frattin this week at the Global Design Project challenge blog.
Krista's card is so soft and pretty, so I selected a soft pallet for my card too. I also kept the same basic layout except I swapped out a circle for the square.
I started with a top-folding card base made with Tip Top Taupe cardstock and layered on a piece of Succulent Garden DSP. Next, I added a strip of gingham dsp and some linen thread. I used markers (Old Olive & Tip Top Taupe) to selectively ink the sentiment. (TIP: To get a nice, dense image, use a MISTI tool to stamp the image multiple times.) Finally, I die cut a circle using the Stitched Layers framelits and fussy cut some flowers from one of the coordinating sheets of designer series paper to finish off the card.
We would love to have you play along with us this week. Be sure to check out what the other talented designers/players have created for this fun challenge at the Global Design Project Challenge Blog.
