We have a sketch challenge this week over on the Global Design Project challenge blog. I decided I wanted to see if I could create a card using just stamps, so I pulled out the new Love Sparkles stamp set by Stampin' Up! and used the masking technique to make a row of hearts. You don't see me make clean and simple cards often, but it seemed to be the perfect solution for this challenge.
I stamped the sentiment and the hearts using StazOn Jet Black ink on Shimmery White cardstock. Then I used the new Stampin' Up! watercolor pencils and a blender pen to color them in. The trick is not to over-do the blender pen or you will end up with the paper pilling. If you do, then let everything dry completely and then brush it off.
I applied the panel to a top-folding card base and finished it off with some rhinestones and a little bit of twine.
We hope you will join in the fun over on the challenge blog. I can't wait to see what you create!
I WOULD LOVE TO BE YOUR DEMONSTRATOR!
Don't forget, it is Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration time. You can earn free product with every $50 purchase.
If you are in the United States and need a demonstrator, then you can order your supplies in my online store here.
Have a blessed day!
