We have a color challenge this week over on the Global Design Project challenge blog...Delightful Dijon, Silver, and Free Choice.
At first glance, you may not think this color challenge, but looks can be deceiving. I guess it just comes down to the supplies you have on hand and personal preferences (but doesn't it always...LOL!). I decided to use Basic Black as my third color.
I used the embossed resist technique on watercolor paper, colored the background with Delightful Dijon ink, sponged on some Early Espresso ink around the edges, and then used an iron and some copier paper to iron off the embossing. This card is similar to one I made a while back.
I used a MISTI stamp positioner to stamp the greeting multiple times in black ink. The trick is to iron off as much of the clear embossing powder as possible so that it doesn't resist the black ink. After everything was completely dry, I added the panel to a side-folding Basic Black card base, added some white twine (SU retired), and some silver sequins (Darice).
We hope you will join in the fun over on the challenge blog. I can't wait to see what you create!
I WOULD LOVE TO BE YOUR DEMONSTRATOR!
If you are in the United States and need a demonstrator, then you can order your supplies in my online store here.
Have a blessed day!
