Welcome to our Fancy Friday Blog Hop. It is Thanksgiving next week here in the U.S. We are posting early this month so that we can spend time with our families and eat lots of turkey, dressing, and cranberry sauce and lots of other delicious food. You should have just arrived from visiting my very talented friend, Sue Plote. She is so talented...she can cook, sew, and can she ever stamp!
We had a little inspiration photo to help get us in the Christmas spirit. I love the clean red, white and neutral color pallet with touches of green.
For my project, I thought I would share some gifts I made for a few of my friends at the recent Stampin' Up! OnStage local event in Atlanta, GA.
Aren't these little boxes just adorable! The bottom is made from a 4.5" square of Crumb Cake cardstock and scored 1" from each side. The top is made from a 4" square of Candy Cane Lane DSP and scored .75" from each side. The belly band is 1"x7.5" strip of dsp and the band, tag, and bow slide off so that you can open the box without destroying the packaging. If you need help understanding how to make boxes, here is a little video from the Stampin' Up! home office to explain how.
So you might be wondering what was inside. Well, you could put something like candy inside, but I made jewelry with some of the Christmas Trinkets Embellishments. These necklaces turned out so cute and I made coordinating earrings with the holly pieces.
Here is a closer look at the boxes.
I can't wait to see what the other Fancy Friday team members have created. Now be sure to hop on over to visit my super talented friend, Cindy Schuster. She is amazing! Happy Holidays!
I WOULD LOVE TO BE YOUR DEMONSTRATOR!
If you are in the United States and need a demonstrator, then you can order your supplies in my online store here.
Have a blessed day!
