Welcome to our Fancy Friday Blog Hop. This month we are focusing on tips, tricks and techniques. You should have just arrived from visiting my very talented friend, Allison Okamitsu. Isn't she amazing!
I am going to share some tips and tricks on how to make this pretty Autumn-inspired mini treat bag. One of the issues you may encounter when using the mini treat bag die is aligning the sides properly. You can assure things line up properly if you use an extended cutting pad/plates and die cut both pieces at the same time.
After the bag is assembled, distress the edges by sponging on Early Espresso ink. I found this fun tutorial on how to make pumpkin decor using copper scouring pads (see project below). I discovered that they are made from a copper-coated mesh tube. I unrolled one of the pads and unraveled some of the mesh to add to my project. It was a little rough on my hands so you may want to wear gloves just in case.
This is what I used...
Now, back to our gift bag. One thing I forgot to mention...when die cutting foil card stock, place a piece of computer paper on top to keep it from scratching when you run it through the Big Shot.
I can't wait to see what the other Fancy Friday team members have created. Now be sure to hop on over to visit my super talented friend, Jennifer Timko. She is amazing!
