We have another wonderful sketch by Teneale Williams this week over at the Global Design Project challenge blog. I always look forward to sketch week because her designs are always so great to work with.
It's back to school time here in Tennessee and when I saw today's sketch I just knew the direction I wanted to take. Isn't this card perfect to send to a college student who is away at school? Just tuck in a gift card or a little cash for the perfect way to remember your student's birthday.
I stamped the Writing Notes background stamp with Marina Mist ink to give the look of notebook paper. Then I stamped the Stylized Birthday greeting in Basic Black on Whisper White cardstock. The little tag is from the Love & Affection stamp set is stamped on Crumb Cake cardstock and is the perfect addition to this card. Using a standard everyday hole punch was the perfect way to complete the look.
Next I tied on some Linen Thread and added everything to a top-folding Crumb Cake card base. Finally, I punched some red glitter hearts with the Confetti Hearts Border Punch.
We would love to have you play along with us this week. Be sure to check out what the other talented designers/players have created for this fun challenge at the Global Design Project Challenge Blog.
