We have a color challenge this week over at the Global Design Project challenge blog. This is a beautiful color combo that you are going to love incorporating into your card designs.
This color combo is just perfect to use with a flower stamp set. I decided to use the beautiful Host stamp set called "Gift of Love". I am really surprised at myself for not using it sooner because it is a great set to work with. You can earn this set for free by hosting a $150 Stampin' Up! workshop or by placing a $150 order.
Even though this is a tw0-step stamp set, I opted to stamp the outline of the flower on Shimmery White cardstock with Black Archival Ink and do some watercoloring instead. I was able to achieve much more depth to the flower shading by using ink refills and an AquaPainter. The only thing I did that strayed from the color challenge was mount the card front on Watermelon Wonder cardstock. It really helped ground the design and make those images pop.
We would love to have you play along with us this week. Be sure to check out what the other talented designers/players have created for this fun challenge at the Global Design Project Challenge Blog.
I WOULD LOVE TO BE YOUR DEMONSTRATOR!
If you are in the United States and need a demonstrator, then you can order your supplies in my online store here.
Have a blessed day!
