Welcome back to another 2015-16 Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team blog hop. This week we are featuring projects from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set and coordinating Flourish Thinlits Dies. These projects will be showcased on the Stampin' Up! Facebook page this coming Friday.
I used a technique called shadow stamping to give this card a unique look. I love how this technique goes so well with the In Color Envelop Paper designs to create a perfect combo. First, I stamped the flower and leaf images with Whisper White craft ink. I allowed it to dry, then I stamped over it with Delightful Dijon ink. It was a little dark, so I stamped off some of the ink before stamping. You need to clean your stamp between each inking to prevent transferring any of the craft ink to your Delightful Dijon pad. These is no need to be exact with your placement because you want it to look like a shadow. I needed to fill in some bare spots, so I used a pencil eraser to stamp some additional dots.
The treatment for this sentiment was inspired by another one of our ADT members, Jessica Winter. Just like all of you...I am amazed at all the talented gals on our Artisan Design Team. I love how Jessica mixed the stamped leaves with the other die cut foliage and I just had to give it a try.
If you are already going through the hop, you should have just arrived here from visiting my awesome friend, Cindy Schuster. When you leave here you will travel on to visit the very talented Inge Groot. You will be amazed at all the fabulous projects created by the Artisan Design Team so be sure to visit everyone on the team.
