It has been a crazy summer and I am so glad to be back creating for GDP. We have a color challenge this week over at the Global Design Project challenge blog.
I combined two different stamp sets for this week's card. I started by stamping each flower from the Blooms and Wishes stamp set twice with Melon Mambo ink. I borrowed some leaves from the Bunch of Blossoms stamp set and stamped those in Smoky Slate. (I had to resist the urge to use green for the leaves.)
I needed a way to introduce black into the floral design, so I used a pencil eraser to randomly stamp dots. I added a 4.25" x 1.5" piece of Pop of Pink Specialty DSP to the bottom of the card. Finally, I added a die cut sentiment created with the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits and tied on a bow with some Basic Black Baker's Twine.
We would love to have you play along with us this week. Be sure to check out what the other talented designers/players have created for this fun challenge at the Global Design Project Challenge Blog.
