We have another great sketch by Teneale Williams this week over at the Global Design Project challenge blog. I feel so blessed to know all of the amazing stampers on the Glogal Design Project team. There is so much talent on this team. It is a joy to see the amazing projects they create every week.
This is quite possibly my favorite card of all time. It didn't come easily, however. I worked on this basic concept for a couple of hours before I finally said "this is the one". I have listed the supplies at the bottom of this post, but I will try to give you a few details about how I did it. If you like this look, then my advice is to just sit and play with your design until you come up with something you love.
We have some amazing stamp sets in the annual catalog. Some of my favorites are the multi-layer stamps. I had to get a little creative and use stamps from a couple of different sets. One of my favorite sets is "Penned and Painted". I decided to omit the image outline and just stamp the second and third layers. I also borrowed the flowers from the "Gift of Love" host set. This set doesn't have a third layer, so I improvised. I used the third layer of the leaf from the "Penned and Painted" stamp set to add shading to the flowers. You may also notice that I stamped several images twice to add even more dimension.
I added some splatters with a Watermelon Wonder marker by flicking the brush tip with the cap. I really wanted the sentiment to be very black, so I used a Misti tool to stamp it twice. Check out the beautiful typography in the Layering Love stamp set...it is amazing!
We would love to have you play along with us this week. Be sure to check out what the other talented designers/players have created for this fun challenge at the Global Design Project Challenge Blog.
I WOULD LOVE TO BE YOUR STAMPIN' UP! DEMONSTRATOR
