We have a color challenge this week over at Global Design Project challenge blog.
The best part about this particular color challenge is that it is basically the same colors in the new Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack. I am totally in love with this stack. I have lots of project ideas, so I will definitely be using it again soon.
This is a standard 5.5"x4.25" card. I created a top-folding base with Crumb Cake cardstock and covered it with designer series paper. I cut a second piece of dsp 4.5"x3.25", stitched the edges on the sewing machine, and then distressed the edges with Early Espresso ink. It is helpful to have an idea of where you want to stamp the sentiment and do that before you assemble everything. I used the sentiment from the Love You So host set found in the new Handmade from the Heart Occasions Catalog available January 5-May 31, 2016.
To create the flower I punched four 1-3/4" circles. Each circle is folded in half and then folded in half again. The four folded pieces are hot glued to a 1" circle base.
The larger green leaves were die cut with the Flower Fair Framelits and the smaller leaves are the leftover pieces from the new Botanical Builder Framelits.
I hope you will check out what the other talented designers have created for this fun challenge and play along this week over at the Global Design Project Challenge Blog.
