A few weeks ago I attended the Stampin' Up! OnStage Local event in Dallas, TX. I was invited to share a card on the display boards. I have been crazy busy the past few weeks, so I am just now getting around to posting it here.
I have mentioned before that water coloring is really popular in cardmaking right now, so I decided to give it a try. I watched tons of YouTube videos trying to wrap my head around the process, but it did take a lot of practice and I still wasn't pleased with the results. I finally decided to die cut some ornament pieces and watercolor those instead...
I heat embossed this sentiment from Reason for the Season stamp set with white embossing powder. The ornament tops were die cut with the Delicate Ornament Thinlits Dies.
After everything was completely dry I assembled the card front and attached the ornaments with dimensionals. If you decide to give water coloring a try, be patient with yourself and practice. It may take some time before you get the look you are after, but the final results will be worth the effort.
