We have a sketch challenge this week at the Global Design Project Challenge Blog. I have been itching to make a card using some product from the new Spring Occasions Catalog that goes live on January 5, 2016, so this was the perfect opportunity.
Before I do anything else, I want to tell you about the new Botanical Blooms photopolymer stamp set. It is designed to coordinate with the Botanical Gardens Design Series Paper. Here is an example of what I am talking about.
If you look closely, the paper on the left looks just fine by itself, but the one on the right has the flower centers stamped with the Botanical Blooms set. The difference is subtle, but wonderful.
On the finished card I used some rhinestones, so you won't notice the flower centers as much, but it still adds to the finished card. The stamp set doesn't come with any words, so I used a greeting from the Floral Wings hostess set and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I created the scallop edge by using the scallop square from the Squares Collection Framelits.
