If you are a Stampin' Up! demo, then you probably know the name, Brian King. Brian is one of a handful of male Stampin' Up! demonstrators and he is adored by stampers around the globe. He is one of the nicest people I have ever met and we are so blessed to have him on our Global Design Project Team. For our challenge this week at Global Design Project we are CASEing this adorable card created by Brian.
Here is the card that I made for the challenge. I tried to mimic the whimsical feel of Brian's card by using the same stamp set, but choosing a snowman instead of penguins.
I thought it would be fun to align the dot patterns of the background DSP to give the look of a snow storm. With a little pre-planning the technique was not very difficult and the effect is subtle yet eye-catching. I used the triangle from the Cutie Pie Thinlits and the Tree Punch to create the trees. I used two-way glue to attach the trees to the background. This gave me a little bit of time to slide the trees around to make sure they matched perfectly with the background. Then I used an adhesive eraser to clean up any residue that was left behind.
Now, we hope you will visit us over a Global Design Project. Come see the wonderful projects created by our Global Design Project design team and if you feel inspired, post your amazing projects there for everyone to enjoy.
