We are back with another Fancy Friday blog hop. This month we are focusing on pretty packages. We decided to hop early this month because Thanksgiving holiday here in the U.S.
To create this box you can trace one of the triangle boxes from the October Paper Pumpkin kit onto Kraft Cardstock (#133674), but here's a link to a similar box pattern just in case you need it. First, stencil the box with the dot stencil from the Dots & Stripes Decorative Masks duo (#133775). (If you have extra boxes from the kit, you can also stencil the inside of the box and turn it inside out.) I applied Memento Tuxedo Black ink with a sponge dauber. Be sure to anchor the box and the decorative mask to a scrap piece of paper. (TIP: Just about any black ink will work, but if you use the StazOn ink it will stain your mask...learn from my mistake...LOL!) After the ink dries, assemble the box and sponge Early Espresso ink on all the edges for a vintage look.
To make the embellishment, die cut one star from some corrugated cardboard (non-SU) and another from Silver Glimmer Paper. Also cut a snowflake with the Snowflake Card Thinlits Die (#135855). Stamp the sentiment from the Endless Wishes stamp set (#136829) in black ink on Very Vanilla cardstock. Add a linen thread bow and a black button. (I purchased some homespun gingham black & kraft fabric from the fabric store to make the bow.)
Be sure to head on over to see the "fancy" project Erica has for you.
