It is time again for our Artisan Wednesday WOW Blog Hop. It is such a joy to work with these talented ladies. I look forward to seeing the amazing projects they create each and every week.
Today's project is a mini muslin bag stamped with the Perfect Pennants stamp set (Wood #133227/Clear #133230). Stamping on muslin is a little tricky. In order to get the image to show up, I had to stamp it with a darker ink. I chose Bermuda Bay. I already had some vintage lace in my craft stash. It just happened to be the perfect shade of blue, but you could purchase lace from the fabric store and die it with reinkers. I carefully stitched the lace to the bottom seam of the drawstring casing.
In keeping with the monochromatic vintage look, I made a bow with some Soft Sky 1/2" seam binding ribbon. (TIP: To achieve the shabby look, wet the ribbon, scrunch it, and let it dry.) I attached the bow and the button with a hot melt glue gun after I had cinched the bag closed with the drawstring.
That's all for this week's project. Now be sure to head on over to see what fun projects Erica Cerwin and the rest of the Artisan Design Team have in store for you! Don't miss a single project...
