Welcome to the Artisan Design Team Blog Hop. If you are new to our blog hop, we welcome you! There are ten of us on the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team and our hop makes a complete circle. If you are following the hop, then you should have arrived here from Cindy Schuster's blog. Isn't she just amazing? Cindy is just as sweet in real life as she is talented!
Sometimes in life you don't always get what you want. For example, some of us were talking about the fact that SU currently doesn't have any Real Red buttons. This is a very sad thing for those of us who adore red. So what's a girl to do? Why spray paint some, of course! How FUN is that! Doesn't every crafter have a can of red spray paint sitting on the shelf? If you don't, you probably should!
I really like the Very Vintage Designer Buttons. Unfortunately, I just don't do a lot of projects that require cream colored buttons...but I LOVE them painted red! Yummy! They look almost good enough to eat.
So let me tell you quickly about the rest of the card. I stamped the largest snowflake from the Festive Flurry stamp set in VersaMark ink on Soft Sky cardstock and then heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Then I used the coordinating framelits die to cut it. The Merry Christmas sentiment is from the Naughty and Nice This and That Rotary Stamp. The card is made wtih Real Red cardstock covered with Real Red polkadot DSP and die cut with the Scallop Circle Bigz Die.
So, what do you do if you don't have any red spray paint? You use pink buttons instead. This is actually the first card that I made, but then I decided to go back and change the button to red. I like this one "almost" as much...but I really do
red.
That's all for today's project. Now be sure to head on over to see what fun projects Erica Cerwin and the rest of the Artisan Design Team have in store for you! Don't miss a single project...
