Welcome to a special edition of the Artisan Design Team Blog Hop. We are featuring our projects that were posted earlier today on the Stampin' Up! Facebook page. This gives us the opportunity to give you a closer look and tell you a little more about how we did things. If you are new to our blog hop, we welcome you! Our blog hop makes a complete circle. There are ten of us on the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team. If you are following the hop, then you should have arrived here from Cindy Schuster's blog.
I have always been a city girl, but for some reason I love the look of "country", especially at Christmas. I think it all goes back to visiting my grandparents who lived on a farm. I miss them terribly and I will treasure their memory forever. There is just something comfy-cosy about a country Christmas. Don't get me wrong, I definitely love my bling, but there is a little corner of my heart reserved for that warm, fussy feeling you get from homespun arts and crafts.
Most people probably don't think of the color red when you think of snowflakes. But I just couldn't resist giving this color combo a try. Did you know that when you stamp Real Red ink on Crumb Cake cardstock you get more of a Cherry Cobbler color? So even though I used Real Red ink, I paired it with Cherry Cobbler cardstock and the results are just right! I used the Festive Flurry stamp set and coordinating dies to make this fun snowflake. For the gingham I used the Gingham Stampin' Around wheel from the main Idea Book and Catalog.
