I finished and mailed my Artisan Award submission on Thursday and I feel like I've had a thousand pounds lifted off my shoulders. From the projects that I saw on display at convention last year, I can tell that there are some incredibly talented demonstrators who compete each year for the coveted Artisan Award. I feel so blessed to have been selected as a finalist last year. Now, I can hopefully get back to posting to my blog on a more consistent basis. Today I have two projects that are identical, yet different. They are based on Karen Giron's sketch challenge from February 28th.
The first card uses a base made from Day & Night Speciality Paper from the Holiday Mini. It isn't available for purchase currently, but it is available as a download for My Digital Studio. I used the new Perfect Dolka Dots Impressions Folder (#117335) on Whisper White Card Stock and also punched a border using the Scallop Trim Border Punch. I punched/embossed three hearts from Pretty in Pink Card Stock using the SU Heart of Hearts embosslit die (#117332) in the Spring Occassions Mini Catalog and popped them off the background using Dimensionals. I die cut three flowers with the Birds & Blooms Sizzlet 4-pack using Barely Banana, Whisper White, Bliss Blue, & Certainly Celery Card Stock and attached each with Mini Glue Dots. The pearls are from the Pretties Kit and were also attached using Mini Glue Dots.
I really love this card, but just for fun I decided to see what this identical card would look like on a piece of Sending Love Speciality DSP. I love it just as much. I think it just depends on my mood. It is difficult to tell from this photo, but this DSP has beautiful glitter designs that make it so elegant. Hope you like them too!
You can purchase supplies for either of these card on my website 24/7. Thanks for looking.
