I was thinking to myself the other day that I need to learn how to effectively use buttons on some of my cards. I see them everywhere...especially magazines...and they are so darn cute. But, for some reason using buttons on my cards has somewhat eluded me, until now. I think the main problem was that I didn't have the "right" buttons. But I recently ordered the Playground buttons and I honestly must say that they are fantastic.
Right off the bat, let me just say, "Yes, I used Copic markers to color my images." There, I feel much better now. I try whenever I can to be true to Stampin' Up!, but I confess, I love to color with Copics. I am definitely not an expert, but I do think they give you great results with much less effort. I didn't like the way the color went on the Whisper White CS, so I substituted Georgia Pacific #110 White and stamped with a Brilliance Graphite Ink Pad. Other than that, everything else on this card is Stampin' Up! Of course, you could paper piece the dresses like I did in on the last post, but this is just a different approach.
I told you that I love this stamp set, "Humor in High Heels", and that you would probably be seeing it fairly often. So while I was playing, I came up this this card. I stamped the dress image three times (remember to mask the center image). I mounted it on Chocolate Chip CS and then again on a piece of Whisper White that I punched with the Scallop Border & Corner punches. I have fairly well mastered the use of these particular punches and when I get a minute (maybe next week), I will try to put a video together of some hints that might help you do the same.
