Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge & Video

 

This is my card for Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #7. This card uses Delicate Dots DSP from the Sell-a-bration mini catalog. The card base is  4 1/4" x 4 1/4" in Sahara Sand. I layered it with a piece of 4" x 4" Delicate Dots DSP. I don't know if I am just crazy for flowers right now or just bored with my selection of stamps, but here is another flower made with the Sizzix Layered Flower die. I stamped two butterflys from the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set to add some extra dimension. I digress, some of my cards can't be sent by mail...or even put into an envelope. I usually hand deliver these cards.

You may have noticed how I used diagonal paper on my layout. Here is a quick video tutorial on how to easily turn a piece of 6" x 6" horizontally/vertically striped paper into a 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" (approx.) diagonal paper. I think that sometimes we get into a rut and forget how easy this is to do or maybe you have never really thought about it. Give it a try...I'll bet you will love it!
