Here are some quick and easy treats that I made to give to my son's co-op class on Friday. I used the large scallop circle from the pennant die in Real Red. Then I used the scallop punch for the Real Red DSP. I punched a 1 3/8" circle in Kiwi Kiss, a Real Red 1 1/4" circle, and a 1" circle to punch out the "Be Happy" from the Darling Dots Level 1 hostess set. I stamped leaves from the same set in Kiwi Kiss and trimmed them to layer on the back of the flower. I thought about adding a Kiwi Kiss ribbon instead, but I need to make 20 of these. Let's face it, I know that all that ribbon would end up in a trash, so I opted for the less expensive route. It's a little more work, but is a little easier to take when you see most of the kids toss the remains. Besides, I doubt that the boys would want to walk around with a sucker that has a ribbon tied to it.
Here is a close up of the suckers. I used pre-wrapped heart suckers that I purchased at a local store. I attached everything with a glue dot. That way, all the kids have to do is pull the entire wrapper off. If they want to keep their flower, then all they need to do is peel it off and they can all it as an embellishment to a scrapbook page or craft project.
