Isn't that just the cutest little baby you have ever seen? Well, that baby is me! I won't tell you how many years ago that photograph was taken, but it is one of only a few of me when I was only four months old. The original picture was in black & white, so I scanned it and changed it to a sepia tint to add some warmth.
My mother's birthday is next week and I wanted to give her something a little special this year, so I decided to make her a vintage ornament. I hope she likes it! I found this beautiful wooden ornament at Michael's for only $1. I embossed some Whisper White card stock with my snowflake Cuttlebug folder, aged it with some Close to Cocoa ink, and adhered it to the frame. Then I covered a small scallop chipboard frame from On Board Something Seasonal with Ski Slope dsp and aged the edges with Close to Cocoa ink. I added the photograph and adhered it to the frame using Sticky Strip.
I placed a small Felt Flurries snowflake to the corner of the photo using a mini glue dot and topped it off with a small half-back pearl from the Pretties Kit. Did you see the extra special touch in the upper right hand corner of the frame? I used the "No. 12.25" white rub on from Season of Cheer to complete that vintage look. To finish it off I added a big red & vanilla bow made from that wonderful grosgrain ribbon found in the Holiday Mini Catalog.
Merry Christmas!
