Felt Flurries Photo Album

I found this cute brown linen photo album for only five dollars at Old Time Pottery the other day and I couldn't resist buying it. I have been wanting a photo album for myself that I can put just my Christmas photos in year after year...and this is it. I also thought, what a wonderful gift this would be, either with photos (for grandparents) or without photos for friends, neighbors, or teacher gifts. Everyone has photos they need to store and but not everyone scrapbooks.

I carefully dotted Tombo Multi adhesive on the back of each snowflake and made sure I knew exactly where I wanted to place it before I put it down. I am totally amazed at how well the snowflakes adhered to the album. These are the Little Felt Flurries (#113697) from the mini catalog. Then I added the double-stitched Rose Red ribbon to the side and tied a beautiful, big bow.

 

I wouldn't want to give a plain album as a gift, so I jazzed it up a little on the inside as well. Nothing too fancy. I just cut several pieces of 4"x6" pieces  of coordinating card stock and DSP from the Ski Slope and Holiday Treasures collections and slipped them into various places throughout the album. I also cut several snowflakes from white card stock with the Big Shot and the Snowflake #2 die and randomly placed them throughout the album.

I think I am going to run out and buy some more of these albums this weekend. Now I see how wonderful they turned out, I can't wait to dress up some more for quick and inexpensive gifts.

Felt Flurries Gift Pails

I picked up these cute pails at Old Time Pottery this past "black" Friday. I knew the moment that I saw them they were a must have. My favorite part is the little tray that came with the set of three pails.

I used Ski Slope DSP cut into 1"x3" strips to cover several Treasures chocolate candies. The silver foil on the wrappers compliment the theme very well. I used Rose Red double-stitched ribbon to wrap around the tray and then added a strip of white rub-ons from the Season of Cheer (#112843) collection in the Holiday Mini Catalog.

I used mini glue dots to adhere small snowflakes from Little Felt Flurries (#113697). I love these felt flurries! They are a wonderful addition to just about any project and they coordinate beautifully with the Ski Slope DSP. I added small pearls from the Pretties Kit to add just that right touch of elegance.

I love the fact that I can give this as one beautiful gift or divide it into three smaller gifts and keep the tray for another day.

Holiday Treasures Pillow Box

This elegant pillow box was made using DSP from the Holiday Treasures Collection and the Pillow Box die. It only took a matter of a few seconds to pick my paper and run it through the Big Shot machine. The tag is stamped with the All Holidays stamp set in Basic Black ink on Whisper White CS and punched out with the large tag punch. The fleur de lis is from the Lovely Letters Alphabet set stamped off with Baja Breeze ink. The tag is layered with Baja Breeze and Old Olive CS (cut by hand). I purchased the blue silk ribbon from JoAnn's and attached the tag using silver cord.
