A few days for convention I was inspired by a card made by Patty Bennent. I decided to put my own twist on it and added a second layer to the flowers to add dimension. I loved the look of the extra layer and from the response I received at convention, so did a lot of other people. After putting together about 20 of these cards (with 3 flowers on each card) I decided to go back to one layer on the flowers for a few of my swaps.
Here is a quick look on how to make these really cute flowers.
For each circle, punch two scallop circles from Pink Pirouette CS. You will need to punch a total of six to complete this card.
Cut each scallop flower. I marked where to cut with a black pen so you can see it better. After cutting petals, use a pencil, pen, or something round to curl the petals forward.
Layer the two flower pieces together using a dimensional.
Punch the flower center from the new Bella Rose DSP with a 3/4" circle punch. I also reinforced the flower center with a piece of pink cs for stability. Adhere to top of flower with a dimensional and add to card front. I also added petals made using the large oval punch.
