Welcome to our Fancy Friday Blog Hop. This month we are focusing on products from the Holiday Catalog. You should have just arrived from visiting my very talented friend, Marisa Gunn. Isn't she amazing!
If you are like us, you give lots of gift cards and cash for Christmas, so I thought I would get a jump start by making these adorable and easy gift card holders. They only use a 6"x6" piece of designer series paper and are the perfect finished size for your holiday gift card giving. Let me show you how.
Start with a 6"x6" piece of Warmth & Cheer Designer Series Paper. Score 1 5/8" from the sides, 1/2" from the bottom, and 1" from the top. Cut away the four corner pieces. Trim a small wedge from the sides of the flaps to make it easier to assemble. Apply adhesive to the edge of one side flap and the bottom flap. This will leave you with something that looks like this.
Step 1: Sponge Early Espresso ink on the edges. (optional) Step 2: Add adhesive to one side flap and the bottom flap. Step 3: Fold over the sides and the bottom to form the envelope. Step 4: Add a gift card or cash to the envelope then seal the envelope with a piece of designer washi tape. Don't forget to decorate the front to make it extra special! I used the Christmas Pine stamp set and coordinating Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies to create beautiful embellishments.
I can't wait to see what the other Fancy Friday team members have created. Now be sure to hop on over to visit my super talented friend, Cindy Schuster. She will knock your socks off!
