Between getting ready for convention, making Artisan swaps, picking blackberries, and a hundred other things that need to get done, I decided that I needed to add one more thing to my plate. I signed up for the Online Card Classes Summer Card Class 2. Seriously, I don't know what I was thinking! The class is really fun, but I already have too much to do. Therefore, I am gonna make this a quick one and just know that this will most likely be my final post until I return from the Stampin' Up! Convention next week.
This is the card I made for Week 1 of the class. We were provided with a color scheme and three basic sketches to choose from. I opted to add craft as my neutral color. I didn't stay totally with the sketch. We were told we could use it as a "jumping off point", so I took a pretty big leap! I didn't have washi tape in all of the colors I needed, so I filled-in with some designer series paper. A pleated paper doily border adds some whimsey to an already bright and cheerful card.
That's all for now. I will see you again in a couple of weeks! Stay cool! :)
