I know, I know... another mini lunch sack? Really? But I just can't help myself, they are just so darn fun.
I LOVE sunflowers and it just tears me up that SU doesn't have any sunflower stamps. Well, when in doubt...punch it out! That seems to be the trend these days anyway. Die cutting and paper punching are really hot right now, so I decided to make my own sunflower. It's so much more afforable (not to mention fun) to make your own flower embellishments. It's next to impossible to punch felt, so that's where dies come in handy. They are great when you want to cut things like felt, cork, wood sheets, fun foam, fabric, etc. Wouldn't this be a fabulous favor to give all your Thanksgiving dinner guests? How about just a sweet treat for your co-workers or your child's teacher?
To create this bag I used the sanded background stamp and stamped the bag twice with Soft Suede ink. I sponged the edges with Crumb Cake ink then stamped the greeting in Early Espresso. I stamped three sets of leaves from the Autumn Splendor set (#116503) in Basic Black on Old Olive CS and cut them out. I cut the Gold felt flower with the Blossom Party die. For the flower center I punched a 1-3/8" circle from Early Espresso CS and added texture with the Square Lattice embossing folder (#119976). Like the earlier bags, this one is by Paper Reflections. They are just slightly smaller than the ones in the SU Winter mini catalog and I had to punch the scallop border myself, but everything else is Stampin' Up!
As always, you can shop my SU store any time, day or night, just by clicking the "shop online" button in the upper right corner of my blog. So what are you waiting for...get started right away! Thanksgiving will be here before you know it!
