Yea! I finally sat down yesterday and stamped a card (nothing digital here) for Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge. For over a week now I have been fighting allergies that turned into upper respiratory infection. Two days ago I noticed that it was trying to move down into my chest, so yesterday, off to the doctor I went for a Z-pack. Hopefully, this will get me back to feeling my old self again. I hate being sick in the summer...especially when I have to spend lots of hours outside picking blackberries. When I don't feel well, I typically don't feel very creative...so I found a card that I liked on SCS and used it as inspiration for this week's challenge. You can see the original card by devlinwhite here. Her card is really pretty, but I needed to simplify it to make it work for the challenge.
For my card I used Rose Red & Whisper White CS along with Sweet Pea DSP. (Note: Sweet Pea DSP is no longer available, but you can purchase the digital version for MDS.) I used the Vintage Vogue and stamp set along with Pretty in Pink and Rose Red classic ink for the flowers. For the leaves, I borrowed a stamp from the Flower Fancy set and used Certainly Celery classic ink. This card isn't very difficult, however, there what a lot of cutting flowers involved.
Happy Stamping!
